What is an artist without an audience?
After some creative trials, the sculpting bug got to me in the 1980s. The classes at the academy were a revelation, and I knew it: clay is my favourite material. Unfortunately, clay requires an oven and a lot of other attributes. At a certain point I was taught by a professional creative polyester artist, and because this material can also be put outside for a number of years, I switched to this material.
The Dutch classes in secondary school about Kloos and his colleagues have always stayed with me: l'art pour l'art.
To my husband's dismay I had taken a few classes in pottery, and when my retirement approached, he kindly asked me to find a hobby that would take up less space in the house than my current hobbies. My choice fell on photography, but does it really take up less space in the house...?
And then at a certain moment you wonder why you are still creating something: the sculptures were placed farther and farther in the garden, the photos remained on the USB stick.
The solution: a website!
To make the website work faster, the photos should be converted to a lower resolution. This gives some loss of quality and some grain in the photos.
Anyway, I wish the casual visitor of this website a lot of fun with what is shown.
